As far as I know, you are tied to complete your contract. The only way you could get out of it as such is to pay the lowest monthly rate for the remainder of your contract. Obviously call Voda, and say what you wish to do, change to the lowest tarrif for the remainder of your contract. Pay this until March, or they will work out how much this will be, so you can pay it off, all in one go.

I had to just just the same when i moved to Finland, i had a contract with T-Mobile, and my contract was not up until December, whereas I moved to Finland from the UK, August. Bit of a bummer for me, as i missed the free upgrade lol

Send a message via MSN to Gizmoratty
Simply call them (08700 700191 or 191 from your phone) and explain what you want to do. You should be able to pre-arrange for them to stop the contract after you have payed your last bill

Vodafone only accept canceling a contract by writing a letter and giving 30 days notice.
You will be able to give notice around 11th Feb, and expect numerous calls from retentions offering you some sought of deal to stay.
Better get writing that letter now.

I don't think it's just Vodafone, definitely O2 and Orange have the same requirement and usually you have to fight over the phone for them to give you the correct address, since it's well hidden somewhere on their websites or in the smallest print of the contract.

I would also recommend calling them up after you have confirmation they have received your letter, just to reconfirm. O2 didn't disconnect me after the 30 days and I had to make two calls until they finally did.
