Thanks a lot Bartmanekul ,
Now could someone answer that weird question of mine...
Can you scratch off the logo :D
And
How much do they change for unlocking?

3 is really good and is the fastest growing company.
Coverage excellent (at least on net)
Mouth watering deals

One question...
I was reading a thread in which people were tricked when buying online from O2 and go refurbished phones which didnt feel right
Anyone ever had such a sad experience with 3??
I am going to personally go to the store and make sure i get the right thing (do they give on the spot, in the store or make you wait?)
I have so far heard of no problems with the phone after debranding and looks like i am going to be a 3 customer

PS: Really want to get that logo off and get a proper phone :)

Its possible, maybe, but you would be much much better off getting OEM covers from somewhere, theres guides on this forum to change them.

Most networks its £15-20, but I dont know about 3.

Is it a kinda sticker which you can peel off using sharp nails??

3 has proved to have the best coverage. (Turbo)
What is their cost for unlocking (i will travel a lot abroad)

Looks like i am going to be a 3 customer

Thanks a lot N95 Forums
I think the 3 logo is spray-painted (I forgot the correct term for the technology, sorry) on the cover, it's not a sticker and you cannot scratch it off.
I also think 3 will want you to pay for the whole length of the contract before giving you the unlock code. The other unlocking places charge a premium for unlocking 3 phones, I don't really know why, but I think it's around 40-45 quid compared to 20-25 quid for a N95 8GB on another network.

I had an atrocious experience with 3 a couple of years ago when I tried to sign up with them and vowed never to even consider them as an option. If they have improved their service since then, good for them. I still won't take out a contract, but that's just me, I tend to hand out second chances extremely rarely.

I got my N95-1 from Three a month ago (online not from a store) & it has no Three logos or anything that shows it is a Three mobile on the actual mobile.

This may seem like a silly question but have you actually phoned three and asked them?
Im pretty sure that if you phone one of the stores and ask them they will be able to help you. Hope this helps.

3 - Help and Support - Got a question

Lost, stolen, faults and insurance -

How do I unlock my mobile phone?

Which gives the link to: http://ask3.three.co.uk/SRVS/Data/Hu...lock_nokia.pdf

And first you have to call 3 on 333 from your mobile. I suspect theres a charge, like I said its probably £15-£20 although I could be wrong.

Remember to write down your IMEI *before* you call, as getting it off your phone mid call isnt exactly easy.

I got my N95 8GB from 3 about a month ago. When I asked them for the unlock code, they told me it would cost £335 as it was similar to wanting to end the contract early! No amount of talking from me changed their stance on it.

If you are stuck and want it unlocked, I used a turbosim. Worked perfectly for me and then I debranded and upgraded the firmware.

the cost of the unlock code will depend on the how long the contract has to run. so to unlock the phone at the start of the contract will be £300+, compaired to £15 at the end of the contact.

also don;t forget - 3 other quidco and £30 refer a friend.

just got one for the mother in law - £30 each for refer a friend and £80 quidco

if you need a refer a friend for 3 pm me.
