Going to 3 for attractive offers worth?

3 is currently having some great offers such as--

FREE N95 8gb
x minutes / x sms (mix and match) (can choose)
x 3 to 3 calls
and some other advantages also

I have heard a lot against 3 mobile and have even stumbled across sites dedicated to criticizing 3.

Now heres what i will do ---

1.Get the N95 8gb
2.Ask for getting it unlocked (can someone tell me the cost?)
3.Debrand it
To get rid of the rubbish they will have on there cell and thanks to the other thread, will get skype, msn back.

Is there a genuine reason people will advice me against doing so?
I frankly want to go to O2 , but they sont have good offers now, acc i cant access their site from out of UK (will be coming for good this april)
PLEASE can someone help and access their site to tell me their (O2) best deal for N95 8gb?

What are your opinions?
I have heard a lot of criticism about 3 thus i think debranding the phone shall do it right?

Please help

Just another thing to add...
Do 3 mobile put a branded logo outside their phone??
If yes, that will truly disgust me

You will hear bad things about all the networks. A service which suits one person will not suit another etc etc. So far ive had no problems with 3, and personally i think they are pretty much the only forward thinking network in the uk.

Alright steve,
But do they put a logo on your cell phone?
Could others also help me out here?

Another thing,
Planet three seems pretty important for 3 customers and thus thus , i think most probably will get 'lost' once i debrand the phone.
Anyway to get it back?
Fring will take care of IM and all
Ebay i dont care.

Hey guys.

Im with 3 and have had excellent service from them apart from one hiccup but that was sorted fairly easily. I have been with them for 18 months and have just started a new 18 month contract.

3 do put their brand on the hardware of the phone, this is on 2 n95s Ive had, the logo is on the battery cover so if you didnt want the logo on the case of the phone, simply change the battery cover to one without the logo.

The only current factors with 3 mobiles is that they have locked their network coverage to 3g (for n95-1) and they are not using the latest v20 firmware.

As for planet three, I hardly ever use it and is not important for my use.

If you debrand the phone and dont like the changes, simply rebrand it back to 3.

My experience with 3 has been really good, you are in contact with a consultant quickly should you call their helpline. If I had to be picky, the only gripe is that they only really have asian staff and sometimes its difficult to understand what they say and when you say one thing, they take it for another but on the whole, they are pretty cool and calm (especially when you get really upset and have to quite an aggressive tone ;) to get what you want).

If you want to ask anything else, please do, Ill be happy to try and help where I can.

Send a message via MSN to Hayabusa
Been with 3 for 6 years and have had no problems, asian call centre staff are very helpful and the repairs that i have need on occasion have been carried out very quickly.

Just looked, not worth mentioning. They have absoloutly rubbish deals. the N95 8GB is only free on a £45 a month tariff!

On the £35 you have to pay £99.99 for the phone.

Just worked you save £20 going on the £35 pcm contract (if the contract is over 12 mths)

£45 pcm = 540
£35 + 100 = 520

Its not a shabby deal considering the phone currently retails at about £450 sim free. 6 months down the line I say its resale value is on the heavy side of the 200 quid area.

Yeah, but compared to the other deals its rather poor.

And I find it odd that 3 have no contract sim only deals. Personally Id love this, as I rarely use netowrk phones, they usually act as a subsidy for whatever phone I buy.
