Nokia N95

So I unbranded my 3 N95 last night, and upgraded to v20. After fighting with the phone for a few hours, I've finally sorted everything out so its functioning nicely. Lovely upgrade now, but I kind of miss the Services menu from the 3 firmware (Left softkey, with shortcuts to MSN, Skype, Ebay etc). Just wondering if anyone knew if/how its possible to install this back onto the phone, as it looked like it was just an app.

But as you have just purchased the handset...
Is there a 3 logo (hardware) on it?
How much for unlocking (if you have)

I have read in all about symbian forum that this is possible... cant find the link right now !

Im happy.

As for using ebay, thats gone.

MSN you will need to use something like IM+, FRiNG etc...as the MSN software from 3 wont work on a debranded handset.

ebay....eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace saved as a favourite...job done

Skype...there is a thread on here somewhere telling you how to get it back...although i cant find it myself

No, you will just chang the product code, not the brand software.

Nope, I tried changing the product code back and loading up NSU to see what would happen, just tells me that v20 is the most up to date. And tbh, its not a massive loss, its just I filled my active standby shortcuts up, and it was a nice little menu that kept everything together. Ah well, never mind I guess.

The phone itself has branding, but just on the battery cover. Next to where it says "Nokia NSeries" it has the 3 logo. I'd imagine it wouldn't be too much effort to find a replacement battery cover. No idea on the unlock.

Do all the other programs fall under 3's free MSN/Skype too? Cos I don't have a internet addon, but wouldn't mind using them if I could use them free

Also, fairly unrelated question, but I've got a icon stuck under applications. Can't find anyway to remove it (Followed the sticky thats somewhere), anyone else know anything before I try a full on reset?

Skype should just reinstall by downloading it from Planet 3 on your phone.

3's MSN CAN be loaded onto a debranded phone with updated FW. see the end of THIS thread.
