Ahh, fantasticbuy. Thats where I got my N85 from.

Everything was good, until it got returned due to a GPS fault. I did say Id accept another unit, but he said it would be easier to just do a refund. Upon return, he said it had a scratch, which it most certainly did not.

After explaining in no certain terms that his auction was invalid (warranty not valid for the UK), and that even if there was a scratch, that would not count against me under warranty since I was not returning it because I didnt like it (i.e. 14 days thing), but because it had a fault -I got my money back.

Everything did turn out ok, but I am slightly concerned that he said it had a scratch when it didnt.

I would recommend getting it from somewhere else other than ebay, because its just too much hassle for such a small price difference. Play.com, or Nokia direct. Yes, I know Nokia has its horror stories, but at least its a water tight warranty.

To be honest i'm actually getting a little annoyed with him now as before I paid he was fantastic in replying to queries but since I sent payment he has not answered my emails at all which is VERY annoying.
Bartmanekul - how long did delivery take for you from payment ?

Not long. I cant remmeber tbh, but I do know I was reasonably impressed.

I certainly hope you dont get my unit!

Silly question, but you do know its a Singapore model?

He gave me a Royal Mail tracking number.

Yeah he did say quite openly that it is an Asian unit .
Warranty is not too much of a problem as I can do most repairs myself and if it is something I can't do I will either send it to him under his 12 months supplier warranty or claim on my insurance.
At least if it's Singapore i'll not need to reactivate the FM transmittor or WLAN as I believe it's only HK and Chinese models that are disabled

Yeah, on mine nothing was deactivated, so theres no trouble there. I wouldnt count on his warranty though, not after he said there was a scratch on the one I returned and expected some sort of 'compromise'.

When alls said and done, I did get my money back, even if it did require a few (non violent) threats.

Nope , I paid yesterday and have yet to hear any more from him as he has not responded to emails today so far .
He does not answer the phone either !
There could of course be the possibility he is not around today so has just not picked up my messages
