thanks 93 much appreciated
yeah i love the n82 and the xenon flash and the camera cover is excellent on this model itd be perfect for me in the evenings and it is very stable as well id say one of the most stable going infact ,
it all depends on what you use the phone for really though dosent it ,
i use my mp3 player a hell of alot around 4-6 hours a day so you can probs imagine that 32gb of memory appeals to me and ive read a few places about a dsp chip being in the n96 simialr to the n91 it really does sound much different to the
n95 and n82 frrom what i can remeber
i also have to use the sat nav alot in my work for call outs the delivery drivers have missed so a big screen is good for that allthough not vital as it was ok on the n73 so would be ok on the n82 but would be even better on the n96
the n96 hanst got the 3d graphics chip it does have better buttons for ngage then the n82 (just my opinion) again this isnt vital but it is another thing that could appeal to me for when i do game on the odd ocassion
i like the dual slide design allthough the n82 is very nice in black ive grown acustomed to the slide design of the
n95 but then some people would say that it is more liable to breaking as there are weak points slider , more parts etc etc
after playing with my friends for the 2 days i really enjoyed it , i didnt get to try the ngage side of things and how brothers in arms and other games handle on the n96 but i was really impressed with the music via my cx-500s and to be honest i was quite impressed with the firmware on the phone i was expecting it to be alot worse ok it isnt as stable as the n82 by a long shot but i had very little memory left of the 32gb it was nearly rammed full with 1000 high quality pics 14 days of music 6 full movies lots of apps , full euro sat nav , and it handeled it pretty dam well it only had around 1gig-2gig left out of 32gb
it rebooted once while just listening to music and another time while i was using it fully ie sat nav , web browser , sms , mp3 player and few other apps , so 2 reboots isnt that bad ,
when i 1st loaded the phone up it was quite slow but i just left the phone on the side for say 5 mins and when i went back it was nearly on par with a v30
n95-1 if not on par it is quite swift and this is only the second firmware on a new symbian feature pack so things are looking good
thats another thing , i found feature pack 2 to be very good indeed , theres a few things that i dont like for example the new sms built in app automatically turns a sms into a mms after 20 names are added for me this should be a user decsion it should ask not just do it , but genearaally it polishes up the whole symbian experience seriously they say its just the little touches and id have to say thats what feature pack 2 is mostly nice little features and more thought out ,
ok iam annoyed i couldnt install unsigned apps on it buy hey its new and iam sure there will be a way so i dont have to sign everything i need , overall though iam pretty drawn towards it , as you can see from what i mentioned earlier me personally id probs be better getting the n96 the only thing that the n82 offers me is the xeonon flash that i wish was standard, the duel led isnt to bad , its much better then say the
n95-1 but it isnt a patch on the xenon flash that i love so much
i would defo miss my camera lens cover though thats a big gripe for me imagine if i do scratch it iam going to be gutted where as if it had a cover it would never happend , open camera lens cover , take pic, close ,protected :-)
wish theyd just release the phone that would do ''everything i need frrom a convergence device''
ie
good camera with good protection
good storage
good 3d graphics and sound processor
duel led flash and xenon
maybe a fm transmitter
tv out and the usaull blah blah blah ;-)
if i was to mix the n85 the n96 and the n82 then i could make my prefect phone nokia should mix them all up and it would be ace :-)
have a good one evryone iam going to weigh the pros and cons up iam kinda talking myself into it here lol
