The virtual world is crowded with news, points of view, opinions and expertise that is the fact of life, the world we live in. Before I buy anything I do a great deal of research..compare opinions and of course decide what it is that I am looking for in a device. For me the choice between N78 and N82 is no choice at all. Between the two I would without any hesitation pick N82 any day of the year. It's got what I need, the FM transmitter maybe its nice but will never use it..also in the city of Chicago it is sometimes hard to catch good enough reception for such things. For me FM transmitter is a scratch and a waste...tho I understand that it should also be a standard in high end devices like N series period.! The charm of the N82 is in its simplicity. The design is if nothing else ordinary...I don't believe that design makes the handset, it does not, what it does do is appeal to specific populations of device seekers. Again like I have said I have the
N95-3 and am very happy with it, in terms of speed and delivery it does not compare to N82. In my first post I stated that N82 is 'wicked' fast!!!!! It is wicked fast. Big factor in it maybe the ODP(on demand paging) that was instituted in the N82 and firmware upgrades of the other
N95, just not the
N95-3...sad sad story when consumer has to wait forever for makers deliverance of a better, faster, more stable firmware upgrade. N78 is appealing, and ideal product for that particular group of new gadget seekers...no questions about it. It is not the eye candy and the hardware candy that I am looking for in my devices. Again the truth is in the eye of the beholder there isn't the prefect handset, let's face it. There is only handset that is the best for each one of us...minus the price that is cause we know that price in the high end world can hinder few and hesitate others.
