N96 vs n85?
Here in NZ, the n85 is $1099. The problem is, the n96 is only $1199. Which one would be more appealing, when considering this price?

i'd go with N85 but do a search here on the members' experiences on both phones and see what suit your needs.

I'd go N85 too.
Better screen, better battery (from which it gets better mileage also by virtue of the screen power consumption being lower), lens cover, FM Transmitter, better music sound quality, better form-factor (smaller), from most accounts better build-quality. All you're missing the extra storage (but it'll take a 16GB card, so its not shabby either), and the Mobile TV element - which is irrelevant in New Zealand anyways...
Hi, by the way, haven't seen any of your other posts before now - nice to see more Kiwi's entering the fold!

n85 no doubt....again it's from the n85 user so maybe a little biased however have not read anything about n96 that would entice me even to remotely consider it for a phone. right now n96 is a fluke and a joke in the n series lineup please noone get offended i am just stating my opinion is all, i realize that there are plathora of n96 fans that would not think twice about thier purchase....for me its still n85 no matter what

so pretty much this is what ive gathered
n85-pretty much an n95 running fp2, with a cover on the camera and dual led flash. The size and shape of a normal phone. Decent build quality, looks etc.
n96- an n95 with a tv tuner, and 16gb of memory, with an extra led on the flash. The size of a brick, but with rounded corners. Below average battery life, buggy performance. Bigger, lower quality, lower ppi screen
