Gutted mate. What about taking it to Nokia care to ask them to downgrade for you, stating your findings with V30.?

I hope my new one don't come with V30.

It's de-branded mate, so i don't think they'll do it, Gaz said it can be quite tricky doing it too.

Nokia has finally made it official. The announcement came yesterday and as expected before of what was earlier anticipated of the Indian launch of its Nokia N79 mobile phone. (We reported the support pages of Nokia N79 had gone up on the Indian Side which gave us a hint on its launch.) This is great news as the sleekest Nseries to date finally has come out to play. The new device features an FM transmitter, AGPS voice navigation, high-speed web browsing, a 5 MPS camera and dual LED flash. The N79 is also equipped with a 4 GB microSD card capable of storing over 3000 songs. We also did a quick comparison of N79 with N85 which can be found here and we are now gearing up for the complete review.

EDIT: The above extract is taken from The S60 Blog

the phone is like a candy bar version of the n85 imo. same screen size, same camera, same os.. plus i really like the navi wheel. considerably sensitive. the dpad was quite big, making the navi wheel easier to use. but i still prefer the n85's form. a sleek dual slider.

Well Sir and that is where you are a little off, first of

N85- oled sreen 2.6- N79 qvga screen 2.4
N85-charge via usb check - n79 charge via usb negatory
N85 one color scheme - N79- express back on covers

just few differences that actually do make a difference for some ;)
