n95 aluminum case

Hi, I just bought a Nokia N95 8GB (in London) and am thinking of buying a alumininum case so am interested in feedback from anyone who has one. I saw somewhere(?) that the aluminimum cases make signal strength go down. Also does the front cover come with a screen protector built into the front cover?

Morning, I bought something very very similar from Proporta, alluminium back cover with crystal front, mine came with a swivel belt clip.

Part of the swivel clip was the first to go, it wore down the lug that stopped the phone "Free Swivelling" Luckily a colleague made me a alluminium replacement ! but that then that wore out the other friction fit (Plalstic) peices!

Also the front crystal case failed next, the "Lugs" broke off, but also the whole contraption strained the slider mechanism...

This on the whole was a shame, because when the case was new it was the "Dogs *******S.

In total it lasted as a serviceble case for 6-8 weeks.

Hi all, just my 2c on the Proporta Alu-Crystal case... Got it about a month ago and its working well. The metal back is great, and for the front slider part, I'm actually using one of those crystal hard case clip on ones and it has been working flawlessly for me. No problems sliding the phone or anything.

I've had my N95 for 18 months now and to be honest, for the 1st 12 months I treated it as a disposable device, having always changed my phone on my contract anniversary. But when that time came, I chose to keep the N95 for another year.

That said, it's stood up to the job well. A few scratches and stuff, but overall pretty decent for the hammering it gets.

What I'm trying to suggest is, it seems the N95 is tougher in it's naked state that the cases you can buy to "protect" it...?

So does it OFFICIALLY fit the "N95-3" with no issues?
