I've got a silicone case and a hardshell plastic version on the way that covers both front and rear while allowing functionality of the double slider. As soon as they arrive, I'll give a quick review of the quality and design, and another once I have my N95 to see how they fit. Since it might be some time before I get mine (thanks to the ambiguity of the Nokia flagship stores regarding the availability there, thanks guys) I might just snatch up one of those dummy N95's on ebay so that I can give a proper review for all those out there who need to know how to protect their n95's before then.

The silicone case was about 10 USD and the plastic case was... hmmm, around 5-8 dollars? Neither were too bad. I do recommend a screen protector no matter what case you get. I also have two of those on the way that will be up for review- but those will of course have to wait until I get my N95, as some of the screen protectors will distort, or creat a "haze" on the screen once applied.

I hope to let everyone know about these items soon!

Eh... don't know if I completely understood that posting...?

What case did you get, silicone or hardshell? Why does it make it look like a PDA?

edit- Oh... I think you're saying the leather case with the flip makes it look like a PDA. To me, it looks like it just adds far too much bulk.

One shop says Celly VIP05 would fit just for N95. It costs about 11€ and I'm considering buyng one. Still it looks like there's no nice way to plug earphones jack in with it.

You're right. Headphone support for that deal would be a "Custom job". If you do get it, let us know how it works out for you.

And welcome to the forum.

Have just ordered the noreve case for myself. I have a case from them for my 160gb Archos 504, it is stunningly hand crafted. i don't think i would ever buy another case from anybody else.

As for bulk the 504 case is similar and does not add much to it at all.

thanks for alerting me to the site.

Richard

Just got the silicone N95 case as well as the hardshell clear plastic one. Having never seen an N95 in person, I can say I'm AMAZED at how small the device is based upon these cases! My 6682 looks just massive sitting next to the cases, it's taller and just as thick and wide as either case, which do even add a very small amount of bulk to the N95.

While the silicone case allows access to every button, speaker, microphone, camera and light sensor on the device, it does not protect the screen- for which I am awaiting a martin fields screen protector. The hardshell case does protect the screen, it does not allow acces to the memory card slot, which the silicone case does. Neither solution provides access to the battery compartment.

Alas, I cannot provide information about the fit of either device- as Nokia still has no word on when an American can get one of these without spending over a thousand hard earned US dollars. I can comment that I do like the quality of both cases, though I prefer the asthetics of the silicon case. I assume that a scratch guard would be a wise investment for the screen area of the hard shell case, as I know these clear plastic cases scratch VERY easily and will surely equate to poor visibility of the N95's screen in short time. A screen protector might seem a bit odd for a cheap plastic casing, but this thing does cost more than a cheap screen film, and did take over a week to arrive. I'd rather it last as long as possible.

Once I get my hands on an N95 and store it in each case for a day out in the real world, I'll be sure to post an official review for them in their own thread.

I'm still amazed at the size of the N95... incredible what Nokia has packed into such a small device. I understand the 950 battery now, although I still don't except it. I would have allowed for a minimally larger device for a better battery- of course I don't know how long the battery lasts, so I'll cut short any *****ing about small batteries at this point.

Sorry, but one more time... **** it's tiny!

I didn't think it was possible to want the N95 anymore than I already did- but I do!!
:D
