Yes but it's bad practice to sell something claming that it is "scratch resistant" when it clearly isn't.

.Totally agree but unfortunately that is the way things are.I only brought one to protect my screen and I am sure Nokia would put in scratch resistant screen if they exist .

just received mine in the mail. not too bad at all, I think.

it came with a few scratches form moving around in the packaging, but some wet sand (800g, 10,000g and 12,000g) and plastic polish will get rid of that in 5 minutes.

The slide mechanism is a little stiff....a single drop of teflon lube should resolve that as well.

so far, i like it for what it is (been about 5 min), but I just hate how ALL phone protection makes the phone look bulkier (which is why it protects in the first place) HAhahah...i dunno...I have issues!

Thanks for saving me from buying this case

But .... around 10 seconds (if that!) after fitting it, one the catches on the front part snapped! I think after 3 tries, thats it now, they've had enough chances to prove their merchandise isn't up to scratch. I will be asking for a full refund including postage of the three I have here back, I don't see why I should have to pay to return their faulty items!

My suggestion on the Proporta N95 8gb Alu-Crystal Case - keep well clear, buy a 99p one, it will work better - and yes you can quote me on that!

[edit]

Just a brief update, I have had an email from Proporta today and they have refunded my money, I am a little disappointed that I can't use this case but hope that feedback will help improve the design and I will definately be keeping a close eye on any progress. I can't fault their customer service, that's definately second to none!

Well thanks for that story of your experience! I had been waiting for about a year for this product to be available... I got on their email list to be notified when it was available, and the sent me periodic updates ... the last one several months agon saying that it wasn't ready for prime time yet and they were going back to the manufacturer to make sure it was made up to their standards. I guess they never succeeded, so I will think about the other case they make that looks like a copy of the Nokia CP-235 only with an aluminum screen protector plate. Does anyone who has seen the other Proporta cases agree that is an accurate description of the other one?

admin, I wish that you had tried this thing out before telling us all to go out and buy it and to later get burned.

I know that you meant well but a lot of us got screwed big time.

I received mine, never opened it because Ive been busy, and now hate that I even read your post when it was first posted.

admin, how about posting a sticky indicating products should be tried out before posting recommendations to go out and buy something.

my Proporta N95 Alu-Crystal Case

here's mine, just arrived two days ago. i ordered for one after learning its existence in this forum. it fitted well on my N95-1.
as usual it came with the english Earl Grey Tea. parts were easily fitted to the phone.
i have been careful with the crystal face plate as many here has complained of its irresistibility to scratches. so far so good.

More images here!
