Charging S9's

To fellow Motorolla S9 owners...

I'm a bit confused about what charges the S9's. EG...

The 240v adaptor that came with the headphones with mini USB plug charges them fine.
The White USB to mini USB lead that came with my Proporta, charges them.
Any other USB leads I have do not charge them, from PC, Laptop, Car or Proporta.
The retractable Proporta lead with mini USB tip, won't charge them.

All the above leads do carry power because the can be used to succesfully charge other USB devices I have such as my Hollux GPS module and the porporta itself.

Odd?

Ah well, no matter. I think I found the answer with a bit of trusty googling. Came across this which seems to detail a reason for a similar Motorola issue.

Gavin, you've been a member here for quite a while now, i think we both know that parts for a motorola have no business being in the N95 ACCESSORIES forum. Just sayin.

Well excuuuuuuse me. I don't believe all the other posts relate to Nokia manufactured accessories for use with the N95... hmmm?

To be clear though, you wouldn't catch me near a Motorola phone - all comments above are just and true. I shall consider my wrists slapped.

But at least we all know why you can't charge S9's from a bog standard USB cable - stupid Motorola! LOL
