Brodit N95 Active Car Holder - UPDATE

i´ve ordered one. Seems to be the best holder i´ve seen so far.

- is the swivel strong enough or does it move when you insert/remove the phone
- can the swivel be removed, is it connected by a sticker or is it one part with the holder

No the swivel is rock solid. Set to the angle you require, and you can remove or insert the phone with no movement at all.

The swivel is integral and cannot be removed I believe, but it is small and well designed so as to be unobtrusive.

Off course you also can order the Passive Holder with tilt-swivel. And just use your Nokia charger....

Just got both of mine today from Brodit. Got the vehicle specific mounting bracket as well. The thing seems rock solid. Very much like the swivel feature. I'm gonna spend a few real world days with it and I'll post my thoughts. It seems there is a bit of a friction issue. I don't think it's anything that will remove the finish on the N95. I guess I'll find out in a few days.

Just ordered mine. I will post pic's as soon as it arrives. I had a brodit active mount for my old SPV M600, and I must say they are quality!

Brodit do a range of 'Proclips' that attach any holder to the car the Proclip is designed for.

Often there will be more than one Proclip for your vehicle depending on where you want to mount the holder.

Then, when you get the Nokia N97 next year, you just need to buy a new holder and attach it to your exisitng Proclip.

Or, if you change cars, you just need a new Proclip for your existing holder.

I've tried a similar holder and the problem with those holders that clamp onto the phone is that they activate the buttons on the side of the phone eveytime you put the phone in the holder.
