Hi guys, how does it work with GPS? The mount fit for my car puts it on the dash or on the handbreak column, which is not in line of sight of the sky because of the roof, does that mess up GPS use?

Many thanks

proclipusa.com is the distributor. Check it out.

As far as the GPS goes... I haven't tried that out yet. I'm using my Nokia LD-1W with TomTom6. I'll have to try out the internal GPS and let you know.

Try leaving your N95 on the passenger seat and see if it works there - mine appears to.

It can get line of sight through the windows and windscreen, it doesn't need to be directly overhead line of sight.

Hmmm... yeah it doesn't show up in the list yet. They told us that this would be the official distribution point for sales over here. I assume it should be there soon. I'll have to check into it and let you know. In the meantime, you could try giving them a ring and see if they can just do it over the phone.

called them up today and they said it'll be a few weeks till they get them...found one on ebay for 67$US(comes to 90$ can), kinda pricey for a phone holder but im sure its worth it.

Just fitted mine on my Ford Escort and I must say - as always Brodit have come up trumps. Fits like a glove, and allows the slider to work both ways. I will upload some photo's for you all to peruse at your leisure.

I agree. Very good contruction. The only compaint I have about it is the power cable, would have been nice to not have the coiled deal- so it can be hidden easier. Other than that- excellent option. GPS works great 100% of the time with the N95 mounted on the dash by the vents with the proclip unit. I highly recommend this mount for anyone who has an N95 and a car. Hands down the best fitting mount I've ever had for any mobile. The option to quickly, easily and effortlessly swivel or tilt the mounted N95 in any direction is the best part about the brodit model. The fact that the slider works in both directions as Stig said is definately very nice. This is the first Brodit holder I've ever used, and some day down the road when the N95 is inevitably replaced, I sure hope Brodit is still making these quality mounts for my next Nokia.
