Suppose it depends on where you see the "professional" line being drawn.
I install all my own stereos, phone kits, amps etc in my cars, but I wouldn't call myself a professional. That said many people wouldn't attempt it on their own.
I wouldn't have though it would be more complex that what you detailed, and I would personally feel confident in fitting it myself.
