Can I charge my n95-2 8gb with AC-5E?

Hi all i received a gift Nokia N95-2 (8GB) from middle east that comes with AC-5X . I wonder if i can use it in europe(problem is that it has 3 pins instead of 2) ? My brother has nokia n95 but his charger is AC-5E and it has 2 pins.

I wonder if i can use his charge(AC-5E) or should i use AC-5X ? I posted the specification of both chargers. I be happy if some one tell me which charger should i use or do i need another charger? Thanks

---------------------------------------
Nokia AC-5X

Input: AC 100-240 v , 50-60 HZ,180mA

Output: dc 5.0v 800 ma

Nokia AC-5E

Input : AC 100-240v , 50-60HZ 130mA

Output : DC 5.0v 800ma

Thanks for all replies. samperry the problem with Nokia AC-5X charger that comes with my nokia n95 8GB is that it has 3 pin while all sockets in my house only receive 2 pin chargers !!

Furthermore, as you see from specification of both chargers Nokia AC-5X and Nokia AC-5E the only difference is 180mA and 130mA .
Do you think i can use my bro charger which is AC-5E since it has 2 pin or do i need any adapter or different charger?

i just worry not to damage this cool mobile.Looking forward for some advice and help. Thanks

I think it should be fine. I got my N95 from the middle east as well. It came with a 3 pin, but am using a 2 pin charger that works in Canada. Can't remember where i got it from though.

As long as you have the correct converter to adapt the 3 pin charger to the European 2 pin socket you'll be fine.

The only bit you are interested in is the AC 100-240 v , 50-60 HZ, European mains is 230v 50Hz which is within it's operating range.

Thank you for your replies. So you mean i can use both of the following methods :

1)use correct converter to adapt 3 pin(Nokia AC-5X) charger to the European 2 pin socket

Note: what does that converter called so i purchase it ?

Nokia AC-5X (3 pin)

Input: AC 100-240 v , 50-60 HZ,180mA

Output: dc 5.0v 800 ma

2) or use AC-5E (2 pin)

Nokia AC-5E (2 pin)

Input : AC 100-240v , 50-60HZ 130mA

Output : DC 5.0v 800ma

So the 130mA and 180mA difference for both 2 pin and 3 pin chargers will not cause any harm and both chargers can be used ?

You can go ahead and use AC-5E as it was the charger that came with your phone. As you can see the output of both the chargers is same and that is waht the phone sees not what the charger is drawing from the mains.

In case of Nokia chargers the compatibility is given by the first three characters in the model name (ie AC-5 check Nokia Europe - Accessories - Chargers), the last character E or X denotes the pin-out for the charger. E stands for Europe and I believe X stands for middle east. We get both kinds of chargers here in the UAE and both work fine.
