fm transmitter

Hey guys I just joined the forums because I bought a N95 recently and this site looks pretty cool :) Anyway I was wondering if anyone could reccomend a good fm transmitter or something of the sort for the N95 so I could listen to music from my phone in the car. Thanks in advance. And my phone is a N95-4 8GB btw

Welcome.

My personal advice would be to trade in your stereo for a Bluetooth equipped version. It doesn't have to cost the earth, there's some really good cheap units about now and the difference is amazing. Plus you get a hands free kit built in!

I've got the Sony MEX 5000, but I also looked at the 2500 which is a bargain now!

Lot's of people have had varied results with FM transmitters. I personally had issues finding a spare frequency that no one was broadcasting on in my area, and driving distances just added to the problems for me as I always had to re adjust the frequencies.

I've owned a few to be fair, the Belking Tunecasts, the Sony MMR-60 and another OEM. I had to velcro one to the sunroof, next to the antenna to get a decent reception.

But like I said, lots of people here have had excellent experiences, so I'm sure you'll get some good advice shortly.

Like I said though, Bluetooth is far superior in both quality and features, in my opinion.

Id recommend an itrip, its designed for ipods but it works through an earphone jack so i cant see why it wouldnt work with the n95, frequencies good, it automatically finds the best frequency. Qualities very good

My Dad used to have the Griffin iTrip. But itwas powered from the iPod, with a second jack. Is that not the case anymore? Maybe they changed the design?

Thanks for all the replies guys I appreciate it! Well gavinguinness I would get a stereo with Bluetooth but I recently got a stereo with a aux input lol. So I don't know if I should maybe get a new aux cable and try that, the reason I don't want to use the aux is I had an iPhone and would use it with the aux but for some reason the cable messed up the phone and I am getting it repaired so I am afraid it might mess up the nokia as well.
