Deep Plum/Warm Graphite/Sand housings
when i got my n95 i was aware of 2 colours, deep plum and sand. these were the only ones pictured on the nokia site (or at least the uk part)
waiting for ever for the phone to be released and now its out i have had it for a while
anyway, when i was in the nokia store, i asked if the sand one was available, as i liked the look of that more than the plum... i was told that its not available in the uk, or at least yet.
i was harldy gonna not get the phone as it wasnt my preferred colour, i was so pumped actually getting my hands on it. anyway from this forum a member called simonpickard gave a link to blueunplugged with the n95 accessories, there i saw there was another colour, warm graphite...
anyway i like the look of this and i have ordered the casing, they said its gonna take a few days...
out of interest, has anyone else changed their covers? or used the company? if so what are they like and are the covers of the same build quality/feel?
either way once i have my case i'll put up some pics :)

i have heard from a member over at hofo that it took about 3 weeks for that site to get the items out, also i have been watching that site for the last few weeks and they have had the estimated availability at 3 days for the last week or so. im sure you will get the cover but just dont expect at your door very soon

ok, this morning my new cover arrived, i've switched it over already and i like the look of it
im at work right now, but will get a few pics up when i get a few spare mins...
EDIT - Adding the following;
for those who may be interested, here you go...
step 1 - remove your existing cover, by doing the follwing,
remove the battery cover, you will all know how to do this already
here you see where to start on the main part of the housing. using your thumbnail, gently prise the top corner of the case away from the phone body (you can see how it is held on in the picture).
once the top corner has come away from the phone body, slowly slide your thumbnail down the phone to prise away the bottom of the casing, which again is held in the same way..
here you simply need to rotate the case toward the other side, as it is held on in the same way on the other side...
i decided to lay the phone flat on the desk a it made it easier for the picture, and also so the battery didnt fall out.

fitting is the reverse of the above as they say... it might be worth noting that its a bit easier to clip the new casing on the side with the headphone jack first, as doing it the other way round means it doesnt clip on as easy... (you will know what i mean if you try it)
anyway here you can see a comparison in the two colours, though the picture quality isnt the best (couldnt use the n95 camera for obvious reasons.. )
so there you have it..
as an aside if people are ordering the casing from blueunplugged, you will probably order in 3 parts, the main case, the battery cover, and the sd slot cover....
when mine arrived the main casing already had an sd cover in it, and i also got the individual one (they are shown as separate items on the site, maybe i just got lucky)
anyway, if anyone has them separately then here's how to put them together, its very straightforward, maybe the pic will give a little guidance;
you simply slot the end of the sd cover through the gap in the main cover, where you will see a small part of the main casing that stick up, which fits between the slit end of the sd cover... then just press it from the outside towards the case itself and it fits nicely in place :)

Thanks for the great tutorial.. but I heard that changing the casing invalidates your warranty?! I was told by a branch manager at CPW UK.

it shouldnt, the bits that are changed are all made to be changeable...
(if that makes sense) no modification to the phones internals have been done, and it can be reversed in a matter of seconds... the case is not solid-fixed to the phone, hence it being changeable..

Add me to the list of owners who've replaced their original housings with the OEM Warm Graphite Housings from Bluetooth Headsets, Car Kits & Memory Cards - Blueunplugged.com. The items were ordered Thursday afternoon (ET) and shipped Saturday, arriving to DC Wednesday from the UK via Royal Mail. Not too bad! Wish I had picked up the deskstand charger too but didn't see it last week.
Fit and finish is great. Pics here and here
I also ended up buying a replacement faceplate as well due to a small chip after an accidental drop (that somehow managed to hit a bed frame corner in my bed room - DOH! )
Anyway, if you're interested, don't trust their conversion calculator. The total was off by about $10USD. Best thing to do is take the total in British pounds and pop it into a conversion calculator online to get the actual USD total.
