Sim card unlock

has anyone tried this and does it work?

I am with 3 Australia.

If anyone hasn't tried it, I might give it a go.

Purchased the turbo-sim in the link below. My phone is locked to Orange but if I use the turbo-sim I can use cards from Vodaphone & Virgin & probably any other, but I only had the two to try.
