N95 4GB Micro SD on eB@y

Doing a search yourself on e-(place)-bay.co.uk you will see there is one London seller selling 4GB micro sd from Kingston. Anybody willing to give him a try and see if it works? < is this smiley supposed to be waving the israeli flag?

Nokia Users have reported in the past bad issues with Kingston cards. I'd stick with Sandisk personally.

Also, the N95 still doesn't support 4gb

Mobymemory claim that the n95 does support SDHC Micro SD cards. What is your info that they don't?

Nokia tech specs clearly state 2gb max.

The fw doesn't support SDHC yet.

First of, yes... that is an Israeli flag. :)

Second... I've NEVER had a problem with kingston flash cards. I specifically seek them out. What problems have you seen reporrts of?

Finally- Nokia states that 2 gb is the max in part because that was the largest card available when the book was written. Until someone verifies that SDHC cards will not work in the N95, I don't think we can claim that they will not. SanDisk's site as well as other sources claim the N95 works with 4gb micro SDHC cards.

Also- gmspitali can you just post a link to the auction so we can check it out?

As far as i was aware.... SDHC uses a totally different kind of memory addressing method.

Which means you have to have compatable hardware.

I'm not sure the N95 is compatable. This is an educated guess though, so i'm prepared to be wrong.

:)

The card slot is compatable, yet the firmware doesn't know what it is or how to use it at this time.

Still sure the new fw doesnt enable SDHC. Maybe the next version?
