Not a bad price at all... thanks for the heads up.
Personally I think I'm going to wait for a class 6 card- but I'm sure it won't be tomorrow, and I'm sure it's gonna be quite a few bucks.
This is a pretty **** good price though.
Edit- Just saw thepricebuster.com has 4gb micro sdhcs for 52 USD. That's about 26 pounds? Though someone was saying something about despite the exchange rates- 40 pounds works out to be 40 dollars. I don't understand that- but there's some truth to that, 40 bucks is the best price I imagine you'll find.
Re-edit- That's a Class 4 card from thepricebuster... that's getting tempting.
Final Cut- Despite the information being listed in a google products page... I cannot find the actual product on that site.

pseudofinn, its never as nice for us lot in the UK, if something costs you guys 40 dollars, we usually would have to pay the same amount of pounds, 40
we would usually only get the benefit of the exchange rate if we bought from the US, but then have shipping to pay, and sometimes customs/duty charges, so prices dont always work out as tempting as they first seem.....
either way im gonna have to pick up a bigger card soon, 2gb easily runs out once you start using your n95 as your mp3 player.

nothings really that simple when it comes to exchange rates, always hidden charges somewhere which ends up bumping the price up. only now and again will you find something that you can import and will still be a bargain.

I see. I guess I was misinterpreting the comments. I thought they were saying that it works out to be the same, cost wise. No I understand- it's the same numerical value- only in pounds, so that it's really twice as much as a US retailer.
I wish I could find the 52 dollar 4 gig micro sdhc card on that site!

Why do people keep going on about class 6 cards?
What do they give you extra? Just slightly more speed?

The Class refers to the transfer speed.
Class 2 = 2MB/s
Class 4 = 4MB/s
Class 6 = 6MB/s
Secure Digital card - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
So a Class 6 card will copy files three times faster than a Class 2 card.
That Class 4 card would be ok. You dont really need blistering speeds with the N95 anyway, unless you frequently copy GB's of music to your phone before heading off to work or something lol
Class 2 uses slower transistors that are readily available, compared to class 6 which cost more to manufacturer. So expect the Class 6 cards to be quite expensive when available.

Yes, Class 6 is the highest rating insofar, and it gaurantees minimum of 6MB/s when the data is not fragmented. I've read of the full size sdhc cards doing 20MB/s though so in reality we'll have to see.
You can read some more here: About SD Speed Class
Im just hoping I can hang out long enough for Class 6, I have a feeling it gunna make things like the gallery faster, nokia maps faster, etc, you get the picture... Ooooh I just cant wait!!!

Well that depends a LOT on how fast the n95 data bus is.
Can it even use up the the class6?

That's me. Not gigs of music everyday- but I take a lot of pictures. I dump them at the end of every day. I also watch a lot of videos on my N95. They're about a 150 megs per hour show- I dump a few of them over every day. I'll regularly transfer over a gig and a half of videos.
Class 6 is going to come in handy for me.

Good question. I'd love to dig up an answer on it...
