Black fascia / Casing - anyone done it yet?

I know the back part wont fit because of the new camera lens, and the front part won't fit because of the bigger screen and smaller buttons.
But the top and bottom parts fits.

Ah right, yeah that's what I meant mate. I wasn't sure of the dimension differences. I was thinking getting the top, bottom and front pieces from an N95 8GB and putting them on with the Warm Graphite back cover for a nice mix, but you've just answered that question! Thanks ;)

I will say that, the non oem back cover doesnt have the same grip, it feels to smooth and has almost slipped out of my hand twice while sliding open the phone.

Quality appears to be good but I feel the front fascia will scratch to easly.

The hardest part of the transfer was slowing peeling off the ribbon cables form the old case without ripping them.

That actually doesn't look too bad mate. Where did you get yours from? Out of curiosity what colour was your back cover before? Warm Graphite? If so, could you stick that back cover on and see how it looks with the black front cover. I'm curious as that's what I'd try.

Also, how's the paint on this black cover you bought? Has it scratched off at all? Or wore off? Where did you get yours from?

N95 8GB backcover should fit when using N95 8GB flashmodul and N95 8GB shutter with your N95-1.

Ok so someone needs to write a review after a month of having the black after market one. Keep hearing the feeling is different and the paint lasts about a day. After seeing this I'm thinking I'd love it in all black so I might do that and the red light begone mod at the same time. Anyone had a black one for a while?

Well its been about two weeks since I changed the case :)

The backcover paint has not marked at all, even when dropped by mistake :(

The front fascia and numeric keypad tho, appear to be of different quality and have scratched easly. they feel different quality frimm the back and slider part.

The back slider plus top and bottum part have not marked at all and are just as good quality as the back.

I have since replaced the font fascia and keypad with a black rubber set I found on ebay and all is good, no scratches under heavy use and the feel is great.

I have also pulled apart my silver menu keys and black ones to create the black/silver N95-gb look. Will updte my pictures when I get my camera back.

My original back cover was plum and does not go.

The back cover and slider part just feel so different from the front fascia and keypad.. as if they were made by another company ?

I am very pleased with it now, just be wary of the numeric keypad and front fascia.. the rubber set (only includes front fascia and keyset) are perfect tho.

Just have to borrow a camera to take some pictures, had the black fascia installed for 2 weeks now.
