Oh no! I've ordered one of these and was expecting it in the not too distant... I wonder if there is any form of lacquer that one can apply easily to protect the black paint?
I had tried the black front cover (the plastic one) and had been suitably impressed with the appearance, enough to order the full housing as referred to in this posting.
Oh well, c'est la vie, I'll just have to be 'super' carefull!

Marlbororman & Adiemask & Anyone else that may have ordered...
I can only apologise for having misled you by my initial enthusiastic endorsement of this item.
I didn't realise the problem myself until I felt a very slight raised speck on the paint and ran my nail over it. I wasn't exactly pleased to see that I'd exposed bare metal... So I tried scratching along the edges and discovered that it was very poorly finished indeed! DAMMIT!
Posting warnings the moment I discovered this, was all I could do, I'm afraid. :(

Case fitted, its a perfect fit, didnt change the ends over though, just changed the front and back, and i used the torx driver that was supplied, was a bit tight on first screw, due to excess paint on end of the driver....
But im well happy, will post some pics later, ive got company at the moment.

Got my 'Black Case'
Well I got my black case (the metal one referred to earlier in this thread). Overall I'm very satisfied with the fit and quality of the case, the only probelm is the poor paint job referred to by 'spook'. It seems such a shame that the overall quality of goods is let down by this issue.
Never mind, I'll see how lomg it lasts (I can always revert bact to my original front plate)......

BLIMEY! Another satisfied customer... Maybe I'm too fussy!
Well, glad you're pleased with it, A... Tell me, was your Torx-driver the correct size? 'Cos mine certainly wasn't!

Yea 'Spook' my torx driver was the right size. Just in case, does anybody know of any lacquer that could be applied to avert the paint scratching off?
