was thinking of lacquer myself, but its finding one that wont react to the paint.

'Hammerite', has anybody heard of this? I was thinking of spraying my now redundant original cover with this 'metal paint', that should last and not scratch if I prepare the original cover well enough.

Hammerite UK - Metal Paint

Only in white though but that should look good with the remaining metal parts!

I am very happy with it indeed, quality is not bad at all. Minor gripe is there is a little light leakage close to the keypad but it is really minor.

My only gripe was the supplier sent me the wrong size screwdriver (it was the larger one for the other screws) but not a biggie as it was easy enough to find one.

If I wanted a different colour this would make an excellent starting point, especially with the metal facis.

For the plastic parts use something called "vinyl paint" as rather than coat the plastic it soaks in. I pained a mouse with that almost 2 years ago, expecting it to wear off, and it still looks as good as the day I did it ... which looked as good as if it had been black from the manufacturer.

I tried to take out the screws with a screw driver that is not t6, on all four of the screws on the back (i know its stupid for trying it on all 4)...i went to the store and tried to unscrew them with T6 and other screw drivers and it wouldnt come turn...I think when you mess up the screw shapes its called stripping?...but now i cant change the faceplate on my phone...does anyone know how to remove the screws if the screw drivers dont fit?

Thanks
