Finally it arrived today, wasn't sure if it would or not at first lol. Opened up the package and both my mounting point and active holder were there, so off I went out to the car.
The mount itself is just a rigid piece of plastic which is designed for my car as they have different mounts for different cars. It took me 5mins to attach at as all it involved was removing my centre panel on the dash, 2 minute job, and then using the alcohol wipe provided to wipe down the part of the dash the double sided sticky pad will be attaching itself to. I then just slotted one end at the side of my glove box which clipped in and then pressed the sticky pad down at the dash end. Replaced the console, job done, might sound like a cheap bit of kit but believe me it's not. It's very rigid and doesn't move at all, the plastic is also of good quality. I then obviously replaced the centre panel lol.
Then came the active holder, this just has 4 little screws which attach to the mount, therefore saving any screws going into your cars dash, something I have refused to do in the past. They screwed in very easily by unscrewing the swivel screw which pops off the holder itself allowing me access to the screw points. Once screwed on it secured the holder very firmly, I then re-attached the holder itself.
That took about 10 minutes at most, although it may differ for other cars depending on your mount.
The phone then slides into the mount like a glove, I was very impressed with this as I was expecting maybe a little bit of play in it. The phone slides down and sits nicely on the charging point.
The active holder has the ability to charge the phone via the cigarette lighter and again, no problems at all, once it's plugged in the phone charges no problem.
Once sat in the drivers seat I can clearly see and swivel/tilt the phone to suit my view.
If you want a car mount for your Nokia
N95 then I wouldn't look any further than brodit. They have an extensive range and they save any damage to your car, the product is of high quality for what it is and it does exactly what it claims to.
