Mission successfully accomplished this afternoon
Swapped out Plum for Warm Graphite and replaced the battered and scratched front cover.
Result:
Only issue I encountered was with the four screws on the slider holding the front fascia in place. They're a T5.5 and the set I bought from Maplins only included a T5, T6 and T7. However, with a little bit of
gentle, stress
gentle pressure on the screw heads the T6 dug in nicely and unscrewed all four without any damage to the heads (well, by damage I mean I didn't chew the heads up making them impossible to put back in! Obviously by forcing a T6 into a T5.5 I've lengthened the wings of the Torx on the soft metal screws. If that makes sense. It does me.)
Very easy to do when alls said and done. I got my Official Nokia fascia and battery cover from
Bluetooth Headsets, Car Kits & Memory Cards - Blueunplugged.com in case anyone wanted to know.

Thanks to those for the advice on screwdrivers and where to buy fascias ;)
