To the moderator :
Just an Idea to improve our forum and to enable each member to benefit as much and as quick as possible !!
Is there is way to add an item on the new member registration to join the forum that ask to supply Phone model, firmware , pc suite used and carrier ?
I think it will save a lot of time and get straight to the point and find the help needed.
What Do you think and how do we all feel about that.

I think we've discussed this before- and it was thought poorly of demanding members to enter any information they don't wish to. I agree that it's very helpful to have this information when helping out the new users, but I don't like the idea of forcing new members to submit any information they choose not to for whatever reason. I'm all for any ideas that help to encourage the members to enter this information- but not demand they do so.

I dont think we are forcing a member to do anything ...It is vital for everyone trying to help and give the right advise to eachother ... Firmware , phone model and carrier is ABC details for all of us .. we not asking the new member his/her address , religion ,phone number or how many kids they have!!!
Most new members dont supply this information because they didn`t know that it is needed not because they choose not to !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your respond did not appeal to me and I would suggest that we put it to the members to decide!!!!!!!!!!!

All my hope was to cut the time spent on asking what is the product details ?...If you join any forum speciallized in certain subject you have to give details of the product you own, I am on Microsoft windows forum and I have to indicate which windows I am using .. no problem to me ..but it is according to some reply here is a big deal and demanding and forcing !!!!!!!!
