Big Update- Should N95users branch out to discuss more Nokia devices?
There has been some discussion about whether or not we should move the forums from a dedicated N95 forum, to an all out Nokia forum. My thoughts are that our future is limited to only a couple of years before the forums are basically obsolete without including discussion of new devices.
Then the question would be what to include, Nseries devices only, include Eseries devices, or all Nokia devices?
I think this would be a good move for the forums, but this forum is all about the members and what you guys want. It's really important to keep the members happy and keep your best interests in mind.
What does everyone think? Would you rather we keep it an N95 discussion, or branch out?

I think you are right - if we stay purely N95, the life time of the site is seriously hampered. We have a great community here, a lot of really nice people, sharing ideas and experiences and all with a common interest. It would be a shame to one day lose what everybody has contributed to building here.
So I'm all for the future, diversity, and the continuation of this community. I hope everyone else agrees. I know this site has a really good reputation around the circles and everyone here is responsible. So come on people, cast your vote for the future of n95users.com! Change is upon us!

Well, I've voted for this to remain an N95-users site only as I much prefer not having to search through posts to find items of interest referring to the model of phone that I use... But if a separate section could be incorporated with no confusion between them, I'd consider that a satisfactory compromise.
Although ideally, I'd rather that the forum stayed dedicated to the N95 at this time and added further sections as newer models become available, after all there is no shortage of forums that deal with the full Nokia range already.

Thanks for your comments, CH. Certainly the bulk of the discussion would be regarding the N95. We'll have all the same discussion as we have now, it's just that there would be new sections to discuss other Nokia products.
But we need your opinions, everyone! Be sure to vote, even if you don't leave any comments. Only 4 votes with 30 views. We want to know what you think!

I must admit I was attracted to this forum because it was exclusive to N95 stuff. There are plenty of other places that cover all Nokia and other mobiles and like sp00k I don't really want to search through loads of other posts about other phones.

I agree, I'd rather keep it to n95. I know that gives the boards a fixed lifetime ... but if you don't stay focused on the n95, some other forum will; and for me - and most other users I think - the biggest positive thing about this board is that it is ONLY n95. It's much easier to find answers to specific issues here.
Of course, when I move up to the next cool device, you guys will have to add it then :)

Have no worries about searching through all messages to find N95 specific material. We would most certainly keep N95 and discussion of other devices separate and easy to find.
Keep the comments coming!

I voted to keep this forum exclusively dedicated to the N95 because at the moment I think the N95 is special and only a phone as complex as the N95 would generate such a high volume of discussions. There are a number of forums in the net which are dedicated to discussions on N95, but so far I think this forum is the best and perhaps the most comprehensive one I've seen. It's where many of us can find answers to our queries.
