I think the solution is to change the name of the folder the files are in, it only needs to be a minor change like replacing a space with an underscore.

This causes the music player to re-read all the info.

unfortunately its not working
ive tried changing folers name, files name and still music player displays WRONG albums, performers, etc.
somewhere in phone memory must be a file where such information is stored and recovered everytime i put my memory card with mp3's

that really sucks. i hate when there is such mess. probably the only way to fix that problem is to do a format but first you have to do a backup etc, etc

btw does anyone know what kind of memory card i can put in my mobile? i ve got SD 2 gb and i need to buy better. are there any problems with sd hc? (i've got 20.0.015 software)

Ah, yes, I seem to recall that you have to rename the folder elsewhere (e.g. on your PC), not on the phone, then delete the one on the phone and transfer the new one over.

And yes, the N95 works with SDHC cards.

When u delele an album contents in the music library, even the album content is completely removed , an empty album will still remain in the MUSIC library, even u refresh the music library ,it will still exist.

If u try to delete it , u will get an error

"General : Feature not supported"

Here is the solution to delete it :

* Firstly, connect your phone to a PC via USB.
* Choose Data Transfer (a.k.a. Mass Storage). Do not select PC Suite because you won’t be able to browse protected folders in PC Suite mode.
(Or just take the memory card out and put in a card reader)
* Open Windows Explorer on your PC.
* Go to \private\101FFC31 on the phone’s folder.
* There, you should be able to find the mpxv1.mpd (for MP3) and pcv5.mpd (for AUDIO PODCAST)
* Goto \private\101f8857\Cache
* Goto \private\101ffca9
* In all the 3 folders delete all the files Not the FOLDER
* Now refresh ur music library

Worked for me on the N95

Greetings
Tom

I can confirm this works. For all those suffering, it is posted elsewhere on the forum several times. But let's sticky this as it has the solution on the first page?
