Unlocking a Orange N95 how long may it take ?

Ok here's my dilemma my girlfriend now users my mobile as i've got a company phone. Her contract is up for renewal on Orange and i'm gonna upgrade to a N95 when it comes out. Problem is I want it to work with my company sim card which is T-Mobile.

Am i right in thinking i'll need to get it unlocked and then la-dee-da it'll work ?

If thats right then the question is, how long until software will be available to unlock a Orange N95 ? Will i be able to get it unlocked from day one ?

Why not move to TMobile?

Ive just had a mate in work look at his Orange contract and what he pays for what he gets is obscene. Plus with TMobile you could add on Web N Walk "unlimited" internet :)

Few reasons, free orange broadband for one. A great mobile contract. Don't use internet on my phone. And tbh T-Mobile conection and line quality on my current handset and of the one i had a few years ago is shocking.

Anyway can safely say i'm sticking with Orange, now just need to know how to unlock the N95

I'm also interested on unlocking an Orange N95. I travel to Spain from time to time and I like to use my spanish SIM card when I'm there.

I believe that the N95 is part of a range of Nokia phones known as BB5 (like the N70 and N80 etc.) for which a third party unlocking solution has been sought for some time with no succes. The programs advertised on ebay will work on older phone series known as DCT3 and DCT4 but will never work on BB5 phones, the claims that it will work 60% of the time on BB5 phones are fraudulent.

There is one person, 'Dejan', who may have developed an unlock program but you have to send your phone off to him in, I believe, Serbia. There may be one or two UK firms who will do this for you, giving you a bit of security.

Generally the only way to unlock the phone is to get the code from the Network Operator. I believe that Nokia only let Operators unlock their own phones and will not unlock phones themselves. Most Operators do this for a fee, give them a ring.

I don't think it is SIM free cos of the flashing. I'm fairly sure that flashing with Generic firnmware does not remove the SIM Lock.

O2 handsets are usually unlocked when you get them.
