Making the speakers louder

Im not familiar with which speakers are in the N95 4gb and the N95 8gb but the 4gb's speakers are a bit louder, is there anyway we could hack a firmware to take the speakers to 110% ? Theyre already pretty loud, but if they could be a little louder that would be pretty sweet :D

I feel the speakers are loud enough already on the N95 8GB.Also tweaking may cause many problems.

Alrighty, it was just a suggestion because i figured maybe nokia just lowered the watts going into the speakers into the 8gb and didnt change the speakers, thats why they were a little lower.

It's a cell phone, not a boom box. Nokia has to govern the power to the speakers for a reason. I had a sony ericsson w810i which i used a software hack to make the speakers louder. It worked for a few days untill the speakers gave out, had to replace them and it was a pain in the @$$.

I have a similar question, perhaps it is what bpeemp is looking for.
i have 700++songs in my computer all converted to WMA 96kbps to make all my sound files even and smaller so i can fit more into my 6GB card. (took me 6 months to finish processing all of it and add album art)

However, i now realise that it is softer than i expected and this is truely starting to bug me. Is there anyway i can increase the volume of these WMA files without converting the original files all over again?

well, i have found this useful software MP3Gain that can increase the sound level (volume) of any mp3 file.. give it a try folks.. it does work, but too much and quality will suffer.. so increase Db value in small steps!
