New Menu Structure-All Special Folders: Music, Utilities....15 folders total

Check out my N95 8GB Menu:

Pretty Cool rite

Heres how: You need to have a hacked phone first.....its pretty simple to hack your phone just need to install a few apps and stuff theres guides all over the place.

Now in the attachment there are two files: Menu.mif and appshelldata.xml

Your gotta have a hacked phone for this:

1. Copy Menu.mif into; C:\resource\apps\

2. Copy appshelldata.xml into C:\private\101f4cd2\content if asked for overwright allow it

3. restart your phone and thats it.

You get all the 15 special folders......enjoy

Thanks to rolan95d and xone for their effects too....

My version should work on all phones, test it put guys and let me know

Here are the files: Box.net - Free Online File Storage, Internet File Sharing, Online Storage, Access Documents & Files Anywhere, Backup Data, Send Files

No, he means hacked, as in hacked, full system access to the directories and drives that Nokia and Symbian didn't want people accessing.

Hacking your phone is one of the best things you can do to your handset! There is a full and very user-friendly guide at Symbian-freak.com (you need to sign up in order to access the modding forum to see it though).

So far hacking your phone lets you:

- do this and change the menu
- change the handshake screen and startup sound
- do a few other cool things, like make changes to the phones ROM
- and MOST IMPORTANTLY: let you self-sign anything without needing symbian-signed at all...

The number of things that hacking your handset will allow you to do will continue to grow too, currently people are working on bringing the superior E-Series Active Standby screen to the N-Series and many other things! Well worth it.

Did it to my brand new Black N82 yesterday (nearly straight out of the box), did it on my N95-2 before that.

Of course, you could hard-reset your phone to get rid of the hack and reset folders...

No, its different than the menu structure on the latest firmware (which limits your options to move folders, very annoying).

There is a way that the hack is done so that it disappears after a simple re-boot.
And then you can hack it again, and then re-boot again to "un=hack" it. And so on.

There is a way to move folders inside of other folders, but its kinda annoying.......

First you need a application any application for explaining i'll use rotateme,

1. First move the application (my example rotateme) to position 1 on the menu grid.
2. Now place the folder that you want to move into another folder to position 2 on the menu grid.

3. Open App.Manager and goto your application, my example rotateme.....now what your gonna do is your gonna uninstall this app and while its uninstalling you gotta hit themenu button and goto position 1 on the menu grid where the application that your uninstalling is and press options so that the pop up menu that contains memory, new foldr....... and for application; move to folder, keep this menu open and when the application uninstalls (which is happening in the background) the pop-up menu will stay open and the application icon will disappear and the folder that you want to move will replace it. now you have the option to move to folder...............

pretty messed up yes i know but its the only way
