obviously i was thankful but i guess i shoulda said it. so i apologize for that, and yes i did try google, and all the links that i found were either not workin, or did not have the metrotrk.sis that i'm lookin for!

How about..
... have you tried editing the theme? Haven't tried myself but maybe you can change the image file to be transparent or not there at all?
