hey I got rom patcher, the new version with auto-lock, and I put the 4 patches in a folder I named Patches in e:/ via y-browser. when I turn off active standby and go and open rom patcher they all show up with blue right arrows. normal yes. BUT when I go to apply the patches I get red x's instead remembering they turn green(the right arrows).

anyone know what I am doing here wrong? I had no problems with this on my -4 and now I'm trying it on my N82.

please help..thanks in advance

Following all the instructions to the letter, I have managed to remove all the standby icons except for Share Online. ROMPatcher displays a red X beside it.

I have checked in C:\sys\bin however there is no SoActiveIdle.dll file.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Lee

in my case...rompatcher installed fine, the pacthes installed great (all green), restarted active standby...wow everything works! buttt....the phone seems a bit slow does it? well...now i wanted rompatcher autostart so i install jbak taskman, follow instructions and restart the phone and WHAT? the phone has become a Windows vista with 32 MB raM...it's massively slow!!! and i keep on getting some kernel-something error multiple times and after that rompatcher works...

but the system has slowed down so much! and it used to be really zippy. so i removed everything and decided i can live with the "kachiiing" sound and that means of course no hanky panky pics! :-)

I've always wanted to get rid of all the other shortcuts but I'll wait when ther is an easier method..like using only one app, instead of installing several just to get this feature. Too many things guys. Maybe Nokia will do it in their next update...I can hope...otherwise nope.
