I thought that too but each to their own i suppose.

The best way to not see the animation is not turn your phone off ;-)

When I updated the firmware on my O2 phone, that removed all the O2 stuff!
So, just update the firmware!

How about just getting rid of the sound it makes when starting up?

If I am in public I don't want my phone making noise and disturbing people.

Turning off your warning tones gets rid of that.

Why, why, why?

I read on a forum somewhere somebody wanted to format FAT16 on his Mac and somebody replied, 'But why in god's name would you ever need a FAT16 partition on a Mac?'

The sort of remark which gives me netrage! Especially as I was searching for a way to format FAT16 on my Mac when I found this remark.

I got rid of the startup tone myself and although the reason to do so is pretty obvious to me, it winds me up that other people should should think it incomprehensible that anybody should have a different sense of reasoning to them.

I sometimes wonder why people ask for advice on how to do something weird - but I never think of butting in and saying what the **** do you want to do that for!? I think, 'Hey! There s/he goes! Somebody on their own path!'

Let's celebrate the people who want to do things which make no sense to us (so long as they aren't harming anybody) because they are the sort of people who look beyond the horizon.

Humans have an extraordinary urge to customise, and amend thing which don't normally allow.

It's not so much a case if you hate the Nokia Hands and want to change them. It's the fact you CAN change them is what people like.
