My friend has just got a new N95 8gb. Pressing *#06# reveals

V20 firmware
RM320
N95 (93.01)

I followed a different guide to this one and successfully hacked my N95 silver. It said the installserver for mine and the N95 8gb was FP1 version.

It works on mine, i can install anything. On his 8gb he gets certificate error still.

Is his phone FP2? or do i need to use the files on this method? sorry for asking but on my phone im happy to try anything, as its a friends i want to be 100% sure before fiddling about with other peoples.

No, the N95-2 is also FP1.

Thanks Micky, i used installserver from fp1 which worked ok in mine, i notice in this tutorial there is a file called CProfDriver_SISX.ldd,

is this the magic file that he needs to get it working and the reason why it hasnt worked so far as it wasnt used?

Having problems with this Hack.
Where is c\sys\bin please?
Does E refer to file on memory card and C file in phone memory?
Is E\Hack a file i create or will it be created when i download files in thread?

I was pondering whether to do this or not.. since my N95 is only 2 weeks old.
Do I assume that worst come, I can reset the firmware and device software to get
back to the way the phone was when i got it. ?
