Question .mif file editing

Hi All!

Can anybody help me how can i edit the .mif files on my phone? I copy the file to my computter, and i can't open to edit 'cause i havent got a program which is can edit it.

I wanna edit the Z:\resource\apps\Menu.mif on N95-1...i think, this file is maybe the menu 'skin', so where is the icons and the icon size and how many icon in menu... : )

Try opening it notepad. I haven't tried looking myself, but that's always the first thing to try.

I know it, and i try, but its not work. : \ I use the NotePad++ (which can read and translate so much programming language...C++, ASP, XML etc.) but thats not work with .mif : \ I donnow what i do. Thats That.

If you are trying to 'skin' your n95 you need an external application, and the device itself gives you the option to move or delete items in the menu. I imagine it is highly unnecessary / ill advised to edit such files contained in the n95 resources.

This program is not the Carbide.ui S60 Theme Edition? Cause i dont wanna create a new skin. I wanna create a new menu..like the icons are not 3x4, i wanna create like 4 icon on the left 4 on the right and 1 icon on the center, when i move the cursor in my menu. I hope u understand. : )

I'm guessing the SDK could help you here. Try Nokia's SDK forums..
