N95-2 8GB using 8GB

Hi I am new to these forums and have just recently got a new N95 8gig. I love the phone but was a little annoyed that I cant run applications from the 8gig of storage space as I like having a lot of apps on the phone, I realise I could just ionstall a few apps and remove ones I dont use but I usualy need quit a few on the phone at a time for my work. I was wondering if anyone has found a way to allow the phone to run programs from the 8 gig storage.

I have searched around and cant seem to find anything. The only thing I can think of is taking the phone apart and trying to desolder the 8gig card on the phone and install an card reader and hope the phone can run from that.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Brodie

Ive just installed Shozu to the 8GB space on mine and it works fine.. Maybe its a select number of apps that require you to install on the phone memory!?

Thanks Micky, when I enter that code I get
V20.0.016
28-02-08
RM-320
Nokia N95 (64.01)
From the reaserch I have done I have the N95-2 series I am on the 3 network.

dtm did you just install a program to the phone memory, or the external?? I have tried and I cant run programs and according to what I have read that is how Nokia releases them so I am assuming that it is an after market program or hsack to get it to run from the external memory.

Cheers guys,

Brodie

I installed a game to the external memory and the phone just wouldnt recognise it, I think I may try removing all the application signitures and opening the phone up a little more, It sounds like it is possible and the programs I tried may have just been a few of the ones that dont work.

What app's don't then 8giga?

Nothing happens when you install on the mass memory, it's just in the mass memory, thats it.

I can't see why you would think that they wouldn't install on the mass memory?
