Quick n95 8gb debrand Question.
Please help.

Ive updated my firmware to v20.

Ive looked at the debrand page and said that if I debranded in a state modified after box contents state, I could get problems with the phone should I debrand it.

So, what do I do now to get the phone back to the original firmware in order to debrand, then update firmware again.

Welcome to the forums.! Once you have upgraded your handsets firmware, there is no way you can revert back to an older version of firmware, unless you flash the device, which is a specialist process only.

Welcome?! Ive been here for a while (kind of).

JTC, if I unbranded now since my firm ware has been updated, will I experience problems with my phone?

Ive unbranded a previous n95-1 successfully but just wanted to make sure with the 8gb.

Sorry, thought you were new here lol.

The N95-2 process will be the same as your experience with the N95-1.

You can reinstall the same firmware with a changed product code of that of a branded firmware, for example, if you wanted to return the red splash screen etc of voda firmware, just change the product code using NSS to the Vodafone specific code.

Your warranty may well be void now anyway, although there has been some reports that repairs have been carried out on debranded handsets.
