Forgot security Code ??? Use NSS to recover
Tools Required :
• Nemesis Service suite (NSS)
• Nokia PC Suite
• Data cable
Steps :
1. Connect your phone in PC Suite mode
2. Open Nemesis Service suite (NSS)
3. Then click on scan for new devices button (top right hand side)
4. Click on phone info button.
5. Now Click on Scan.
6. Select Permanent Memory.
7. Click on Read.
8. It will read the permanent memory file and save it on the disk at following path.
C:\Program Files\NSS\Backup\pm\<IMEI>.pm
9. Open the .pm file using Notepad.
10. Now scroll until field [308], and on the 5th Record (5=) your security code is saved at there.
11. Like 5=31313131310000000000
12. Remove all “3” digit and it will be 31313131310000000000
13. 11111 is your security code.

Security Code? What's that then? PIN2? Phone Lock? Sim Lock?
Surely if you use your phone daily, which most people do, then you aren't going to forget any of your pin/security codes. I don't think this can be used for any good reasons.

Im guessing the "Security code". The one which default is "12345" which is used to lock the phone. Ideal if you have purchased a phone from someone who has forgotten the code if they changed the default code I guess.

My lock code is only activated by switching SIMs... so on occasion i do forget my lock code, and this method would come in handy :)

by the way i think this only works if the phone is on and fully booted with no security key lock !
Unless someone has managed to get around this ?

I noticed a while back yourself and others recommended Advanced D Lock. On those recommendations I tried and eventually purchased the App.
Thanks a million for that, it works perfect and am really pleased with it.
My question is. Did this method get you out of trouble, assuming your using Adv D Lock that is, or is just the Nokia installed app that it works for?
