Some questions about N95 8GB...
I didn't found answers anywhere

said you guys are the best!!
so this are the questions:
When i update for new frimware..backup is just in case?or i need to restore it after update?what should i backup exactly?and how do i get my hebrew language back to the phone?
v30 can be hacked with "Drakkarious"?if yes...which version of this hack?
How much time do i need to charge the battry for the first time?
charge it right away?or should i wait for the battary to finish and then charge the phone?for how long?
please help me i'm desperate!! :(

Hello and welcome
you should back up before you upgrade as you will loose all information that you have saved to the phone memory, once you have updated your firmware you can then restore your data. Back up using Nokia PC suite and tick all the boxes so you back up contacts etc
some people are saying they have hacked V30 see this link
http://www.n95users.com/forum/softwa...gned-apps.html
Charge it out of the box and leave it over night, it's best not to let the batteries run flat, if your near a charger plug it in.

Welcome to the forums.!
GSiR is me I recommended you come here regarding your queries, as you will get the right advice here.
Firstly, NEVER let your battery completely run out, the battery in the N95 is not like older mobiles, where you discharge the battery to improve performance. Charge the battery every night, or as often as you can.
Im sure V30 is also hackable, check with the forums for this information.
Personally, I keep backups of everything installed on the phone on my PC, so i can restart a fresh whenever a new firmware comes out. Then its just a case of resetting your phone so it in out the box condition, with default settings, then upgrade.
If you wish to backup using Nokia PC Suite, make sure you have the latest version available from Nokia's website. The one on the Disc that comes with the handset is outdated already.
Use Content Copier to back up what you wish to keep, but don't restore any settings after you have upgraded.
Each to their own really, Im sure others will let you know what they would suggest.

From what I have read from other members here, restoring settings can cause some initial problems, this is probably due to some installed applications sharing services built-into the OS.
Its always best to reset, and start a fresh. this is what I do, and I update firmware on an N95 almost daily now, and touch wood, its always worked out fine.
