Updated firmware but standby wallpaper is squashed
Hi peeps... thanks for all the posts about updating the firmware... had to change the device number before i could.
But now the wallpaper image on standby is squashed... any ideas? It's really bugging me!!!!

Have you tried re-sizing the image at all?
I get the best results by re-sizing to 240x235.

its the normal photos i take with the phone itself and use image as wallpaper.. never had to resize them before...

Well you have new firmware now so that might be the problem,try re-sizing the pics.

Thanks for the tip, previously it seemed that it would kind of crop the image to make it fit, when switched to landscape mode it would show the remainer, e.g. a persons face would not be stretched either way the way it is now... just wondering if anyone else has experienced this as well.

It's beginning to sound like it is a firmware difference more than anything else. A few other people here have had the same problem

certainly seems like firmware thing, such a shame because now the GPS works amazingly!

does anyone know if making a custom theme will stop the wallpaper being squashed between the two borders?

You can make the custom theme how you want it to look.You could have your pic FULL SCREEN.

mine seems to be stretched, it was a perfect fit previously now it's like it was slightly to small. has the screen res changed?
