Not sure but Ive run for about an hour w/o any impact on the battery. Btw, you can set the GPS to 'live' so people like me can watch you run in real time.. :)

Sory to butt in guys, but can someone tell me why Sportstracker uses a data connection? (I've noticed the packet data icon starting up now and again when using the app.)

Also, can it be used with an external Bluetooth GPS receiver?

You can watch them progress in real time through their chosen route through the community link on the homepage..

hey anyone use this for snow activities such as boarding or skiing? Just read the review and curious to see hwo the data pans out for snowboarding. Also it was said that you can save and view on google earth, this easy to do?

You can create your own custom activities. ST would just record and collate the data the same as it would with any other activity.

yeah I saw the different activities in there. Wondering if I need a altitude offset since I'm gonna be starting at the top and working my way down

here is a casual walking activity that I did today, posted on Nokia Sports Tracker beta, it's so sweet I think I'm gona have so much fun using this feature, the battery stayed full the whole walk and the pics are sweet.
