Thanks for your PM.

V21 is the latest firmware currently available for the N95-1, and is the most stable to date, bringing many additional features, and bug fixes.

As to debranding via NSS, and further upgrading your N95's firmware with NSU, its a grey area at the moment, with possible changes being made by Nokia, however, right now, you can still upgrade your debranded handsets firmware using NSU without any problems.

The Nokia warranty is 25 months and is totally independent from the terms and length of your network contract. It is established from the IMEI of the handset.

I seriously doubt Nokia would agree to debrand your handset regardless of the status of your network contract.

Thanks micky for your prompt response and thanks to 93tid.So n95 from 3 it is.I'll take my chances and debrand it and hope the latest firmware is all i'll ever need to enjoy the n95.In regards to nokia not debranding what about if i asked them to upgrade firmware. If i was free of contract would that allow nokia to give me a generic firmware.

Thanks button - bottom right

I guess you will never know for sure about debranding by Nokia until you ask them to do it. My gut feeling is that every IMEI is linked to a specific product code and even if you ask for an upgrade I doubt they will change the product code just to give you a generic firmware. Most probably it will depend on who you talk to on the day and what sort of mood they are in.

Before you debrand your "3" handset please check the forum with regard to what "3"-specific services you might lose as a result. I don't remember the details, since I would not take a contract on 3 even at gunpoint, but they are somewhere on the forum.

Cheers 93tid.Im currently using debranded n70 and was worried that it would start charging me for my internet add on.Everything been fine though and even when i downloaded the msn application from planet 3 that worked for free as it should.I know what you mean about 3 though network shocking and there tech department should be sent here for a training course.Going to stick with then only because cheapest on high st dont trust online all that cashback via redemption minefield.Debranding is the way to go sure hope nokia leave us too it.

Good that i have deliberately not debranded my N95-2
Another reason why you should stay with O2 whose branding is the boot/shut down screen THATS IT!
