I read on the nokia discussion forum that the battery consumption is a lot better in this firmware. The guy used energy profiler and found out that in idle the n95 uses 40mw, but with the last firmware it used to be between 60mw and 70mw.
here is the link: New N95 V30 Firmware Rumors - Software Updates - Nokia Support Discussions

Can't say I've seen a change in the icon sizes, not that I think it really matters.

Couple of things I have noticed is the media buttons work again and my Maps have reverted to wk26. I had updated it to the most recent. Also It wont let me update the Maps again

To be honest mate i would hold off updating.

Theres nothing new that is really any use.

I dont use autorotate as its slow and i dont want the phone to deciede when the screen rotates, if i want it to do that i just slide the phone myself.

i dont use ngage so having a pretty blue icon instead of an orange one is no biggie.

Battery life may have increased slightly but an extra 10 mins wont change your life.

No new apps as such the only other thing is a new black theme.

Surely this should have been firmware V22?

Its like the upgrade from a 48k spectrum to a 128k spectrum +2

1 or 2 tiny chages that you hardly notice or use.

and there's a big difference in the icon's size.

and this without the small hack

Hi H.B.Z

Just curios why some of your icon's are different than mine ?. Perhap's you are using a theme with custom icon's. Mine are the standard one's. Or maybe there are different icon's for different region's.

no problem.... i had the lifeblog problem too.... i thought it was the o2 firmware... but obviously not as yours is debranded.... its really odd because mine used to say "cannot access database" then it would beep again with the message... "system error".... it was really odd...

works fine on my 8gb...

however..... this might work i dunno but anyway try removing the lifeblog folder in c:/data or e:/data and it should be ok - when you get lifeblog running, just select "Update Timeline" and you will be up and running....

Just when my trusty old PC finally kicked the bucket (vintage 2002 p4 singlecore R.I.P.) they bring a new FW...
Can someone pls confirm if ROMPatcher AND BiNPDA Secman hacks still work? I hate HC and want to stick to Secman/Rootsign, even if that means no update. Gonna wait for some more reports anyways. Not an early adopter guinea pig myself :)
