That will always be there. It's some thing with legal issues in various countries.
There's a way of cutting the circuits to shot it off permanently, but for me....
I just stick a small piece of Blue-tac over it! works like a charm when i want to record videos near the glass etc.

Which firmware is best - V20, V21 or V30?
Sorry, I know I posted another thread on firmware but thought this title would attract the attention of those with those firmware versions...
I'm edging towards going to V21 to get the widgets and iplayer and not sure about V30 as people are saying they can't install BiNpDa apps? That would be a pain for me as I use that thing for using the internal GPS with my old version of TomTom...
I think for me V21 seems the best option. I noticed also that a lot of people on here are still on V20/21 not on V30 yet and wondered if this was just the siggy's being out of date or there are doubts as to how good it is...

Upgraded to V21 from V20 myself which is as far as I can go, being with O2 network. I think that this is the case with quite a few networks including Orange. Which is why you will find that the majority of us are still on V21, which was/is a great improvement over V20.

I'm afraid you can't exactly pick and choose which firmware to install with Nokia Software Updater. You will only get the option to install whatever is the latest current version of firmware available for your product code - in your case whatever is the highest version available on T-mobile, i.e. the T-mobile branded V.21.
If you debrand, you will get V.30. That's it, no options.
T-Mobile never released V.20, they had something called V.14, which caused endless frustration as you can see for yourself if you run a search on the forum.

Many thanks 93tid, how can I get T-mobile branded V.21? If I use NSU it only allows me to upgrade to V.14?
That would be perfect then as it wouldn't affect the warranty would it if it's still branded?

For me with all the upgrades I 've made starting from v14 up to v30 I have to say that the latest is always the better.
Now, using v30 and looking back to v14 seems to have been a beta testing period, seriously.

I am terribly, terribly sorry, I got slightly mixed up - V.14 was released by T-Mobile instead of V.21, not V.20. I'm afraid V.14 is all you can get at present without debranding.
I have no experience with V.14, so cannot comment on its merits vs V.11.

How about if I changed the product code to an Orange or O2 one to upgrade to V21 and then changed it to T-Mobile? Would it still be an Orange/O2 branded phone as that's in the firmware?

I would be very tempted to go to V30, I'm just worried I won't be able to use TomTom with my internal GPS anymore if Binpda apps don't work....?

Why is this thread still in this section ?
Mods, can you please move this to the General N95 section and possibly merge with the OP's other thread on same subject.
