You can't delete the font as it will be in use and the whole point of not having it on the sd card is so data transfer can be used.

Unless theres a reason not to?

mr G is correct. You'll have to remove the memory card and reboot the phone to change the font. I find that more fussy, :P

so..like i said in my post,
I can't use the new font AND data transfer at the same time.
If I change or move the router.ini file I lose the font, so I keep the router.ini file and then I can't use data transfer.

YOU ONLY DO THAT IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE FONT.
Read the first post thoroughly.

@twisted : The font only changes if you reboot. Do you reboot a lot?? If i'm not mistaken, using data transfer mode doesn't reboot your phone, so technically you should be able to keep your font, and use data transfer mode even when Enable=0

TO CHANGE FONT AGAIN AFTER INITIAL CHANGE
and change the line Enable=0 to Enable=0 after you've changed the font. The phone will still display the same font until you reboot, so you can presumably use data transfer mode as the phone isn't accessing the fontrouter.ini . Let me know if this works for you.

Try to install the Font Router in the Phone Memory, then u don't have problem to connect to Mass transfer mode...
If u wnt to change the font as said by porselinaheart, change the Enable to 0
restart it
remove the old font and replace the new font
change the Font router as Enable =1
restart it.. you will have the new font...
i am using the Font router for a month in my N95 8GB without any problem...
P.S. : don't diable the default fonts in the Fontrouter.ini, it will create proble...

Sorry to be very dim but, in point 4 of the first post it mentions that the font already in c:/ data/ fonts is no longer used - but i can't see any font that was already there.
also when it says that the font can be exchanged, is this WITH the same font that has been placed in the new folder, e :/ resources / fonts?
My brain aint what it used to be!
cheers
