Do I need an anti-virus software

For the N95 - as I use it's email application, should I install one.

If so, any recommendations.

To be fair, I don't open any unsolicited mail, but I am unsure whether my phone would be at risk

Hi. I have read a thread on this site about this subject, just done a search but can't find it for you!!I am sure it said that several users never bother with anti-virus for there phones and have never had a problem.I can't be certain, but if you did ever have a problem you could do re-sets etc on your phone.

Just to answer your question, NO. Absolutely no need for antivirus on s60 3rd edition FP1 onwards. Security is way to good on these devices.

Anyway, please use the search next time.
You can try the keywords anti virus

Thanks Leong, that's great.

As I have seen what can happen to a poster if they don't search before posting, I had already looked up anti virus and it kept saying my search was too small.

But thanks again

The key is to avoid the term "n95" in your searches, as it is too short. And if you could search that term you'd probably wind up with all the threads in the forum anyways. ; )

You can use * when the words are too small. There is also a thread regarding this. See here
