Truphone

I've installed Truphone on my N95 already. I had a question about it though. If you keep wifi on, it uses up battery and makes the phone hot over time. Now sometimes, i would like to turn turphone off is there any way to do that? Because it keeps reconnecting automatically

I thought Truphone was a great VoIP application (better than Fring). Calls to other mobile phones and LAN lines were very clear and I never got charged for one. Only charge I ever received was from sending a text messege ($0.15)

That said I did have some of the same problems you did Chaud. Even if I changed the Apps settings to use "Cellular", told Truphone to "Disconnect" and configured it for "Manual" connection. With in five minutes Truphone would search for a wireless connection and if it could see my home AP it would connect... no matter how many times I told it not to.

I'm not using Truphone, but I'm certain that there should an option to disable auto connect, if none, just ditch it and get a better one...Try searching the forum. "VOIP"

Open ur truphone app, and scroll right to were it says saved.

you should see your access point above the ---auto-connect ^--- line..

just move your access point below this line in options to prevent it from auto connecting.
